My story

With over 24 years of experience working with leather and a lifetime as an artist,
I've started designing and making luxury leather bags that are unlike any available
in the marketplace. One-of-a-kind is just the beginning. My leather and construction process produces highly durable bags that are also pieces of art. My goal is to design bags that nobody has ever seen before. While I don't have the pedigree designer bag name, I'll put mine up against the best of them.

My story started with my father,
C.W. Felix "Cat/Gato" was a famous artist in
Los Angeles so art was in my life from a young age. Dad's work was displayed at
art galleries all around LA and at the Smithsonian National Museum. He won
many awards and received recognition from Mayor Tom Bradley, Famous actors and even a letter from Gerald R Ford. POTUS.

My first chance working with my father involved painting wall murals around LA. Some have been featured on TV shows and movies, including the movie Collateral with Tom Cruise. The opening taxi scene panned across a large bull fighter
scene. I was probably 13 years old at the time and I painted the bull with cat eyes.
Yes, even back then. I did what I envisioned.

Early in my art career my father tried talking me out of it -- the term starving artist is true!
At 18 I was offered a job at a magazine as an artist and turned it down. I really didn't want to work in an office. I tried to get into formal art programs, but my heart really wasn't in it so
I just started working on my own.

One of my first works was painting a custom car. It had murals ofthe owners hometown with cars cruising down main street and that started my painting career. I painted custom cars and Harley Davidson's around the world for 25 years. One of my most unusual pieces
was being commissioned to paint a Gulf Stream G3 with flames.

In 2004 I started working with leather and created custom seats for
the Biker Build off shows on the Discovery Channel. Then in 2008 I
shifted from doing custom cars and Harleys to making custom leather gun holsters.
Initially I only wanted to do "artwork" holsters but over time learned from many
experts in the industry that production holsters was a better way to go.

Making high-quality leather holsters was great and my business and reputation really took off, but I missed the art part of it so I incorporated artwork into the holsters for clients who wanted a one-of-a-kind piece for their firearms.

In 2023 I started experimenting with creating 3-D hand embossed leather holsters and have since sold them to discriminating clients around the globe. From what I can tell, I'm the only one in the world crafting 3D leather holsters that function as a holster and are also a beautiful piece of art. Functional art!
